Renewed Courses page

We’ve redesigned the “Courses” page to add new features based on feedback gathered from students, staff, and faculty (including site administrators) across the Faculty of Arts.

Updates include changes to the visual design of page elements to improve accessibility, readability, and consistency. These updates will go live on Monday, October 21st.

If you have not synced your courses recently, we recommend doing so to ensure the information is up-to-date in anticipation of the new design. Otherwise, no other action is required.

Additional dropdowns/filters to match data available in Workday

We’ve added new dropdown menus to allow users to browse courses based on schedule and delivery mode. The new menus match data available in Workday, such as Academic Period (replaces Year/Session), Weekday, Delivery Mode, and Format. Users can also filter courses by Pre-requisites and Co-requisites.

Ensure your links are updated

  • With the change from Year/Session to Academic Period, any links that previously included “session=” will need to be updated to “academic-period=”

Improved display for course listings

Courses now display as accordions, with course titles and course codes shown by default, allowing users to browse through courses more easily. When opening accordions, users will automatically see section information, such as Term, Delivery Mode, Format, Days, Times, Instructor(s), and Syllabus (if uploaded).

The new design removes duplicated information, improves readability, and reduces the number of clicks to view important section information.
